The headline DTV requirement is financial evidence of at least THB 500,000. A number above the threshold is not the whole review: the file also needs to make ownership, date, currency and document integrity easy to verify.

Important

Mission requirements can change. Confirm the responsible mission and live official guidance immediately before submission and payment.

Start with the official minimum

Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs material lists financial evidence of no less than THB 500,000, with examples such as bank statements, payslips or a sponsorship letter. Individual missions may specify a statement period, acceptable account type or additional bank confirmation.

Make ownership unmistakable

The statement should clearly identify the applicant and account. If merged pages omit the account holder, add the bank-generated ownership or account-summary page. Avoid unexplained screenshots, cropped balances or edited files.

Handle currency and dates

When the account is not in Thai baht, use the method requested by the mission. Some missions may ask for a bank letter or a balance in an accepted reference currency. Keep the statement recent enough for the mission’s wording and do not assume one embassy’s date rule applies everywhere.

Review consistency

Names, address, account number and transaction history should not conflict with the rest of the application. Large recent transfers are not automatically disqualifying, but unexplained movement can trigger questions. Use genuine records and a concise explanation where relevant.
